Fontsanta Park UA4 Residential completed: 105 Families already enjoying their new homes in Sant Joan Despí

10/01/2025

Fontsanta Park UA4 Residential is now a reality: 105 social housing units designed to offer comfort and functionality, with a design that blends perfectly into its surroundings. Two buildings with a total of 105 Social Housing Units, under the General and Concerted regime.

Fontsanta Park UA4 Residential is a new development, located in Sant Joan Despí, between  Barcelona Avenue and Fontsanta Street, on the corner of Mare de Déu de la Mercè, which is made up of two buildings designed to offer modern and functional homes. The project includes 105 of 2 and 3 bedroom, all of them with a storage room and parking space, and has been developed by a housing cooperative.

Building A, which has 84 apartments, has two entrances: one from the ground floor, on Mare de Déu de la Mercè street, and another on the second floor, from Barcelona Avebue. Building B, with 21 apartments, has its main entrance on Fontsanta street.

The completion of this development marks a milestone in the transformation of the neighbourhood, consolidating itself as a model of urban regeneration. In 2010, due to the real estate crisis, the works of a private investment were paralysed, leaving the concrete structures of two unfinished buildings that for more than a decade defined the landscape of Barcelona Avenue.

Today, thanks to an approach focused on the revitalization of the environment and the needs of the community, this project has managed to convert a stagnant space into a symbol of progress and social cohesion. Thanks to the initiative of the Sant Joan Despí City Council, which acquired the property to be used for public housing, in 2023, after the homes were awarded to 105 families, work was restarted with Metropolitan House as project manager

Fontsanta Park UA4 Residential has not only transformed the appearance of the neighbourhood, but has also generated new opportunities, boosting the dynamism and integration of the urban fabric.

This project is another step in our commitment to creating accessible and sustainable homes, and spaces that improve people’s lives.
