Metropolitan House consolidates the four-day work week with positive results

26/02/2025

Betevé’s Vía 15 programme highlights our experience in its analysis of the impact of the reduction of the work week in different sectors. At an international level, the four-day week has shown positive results.

At Metropolitan House, we implemented the four-day work week three years ago, and experience has shown us that it is an effective strategy to improve the balance between work and personal life, increase productivity and promote a healthier work environment.

Our experience has been highlighted in the Vía 15 programme on Betevé, where professionals from different sectors analyse the impact of the reduction of the working day in their respective areas and its application in reality.

The debate on the reduction of the work week continues to gain strength at a global level. In Spain, the Government has approved a draft law to reduce the maximum work week from 40 to 37.5 hours per week without a reduction in salary, reflecting a commitment to more flexible work models oriented towards employee well-being.

In other countries such as the United Kingdom and Germany, the experiences have been positive. In Germany, for example, tests are being carried out with four-day work weeks, with the aim of improving the quality of life of workers without affecting productivity.
