Miguel Ángel Angulo defends Metropolitan House’s decent, accessible, and sustainable housing model at Construmat 2025
In the Construmat 2025 framework, Metropolitan House’s Director of Innovation, Miguel Ángel Angulo Ruiz, participated in the Sustainable Building Congress with a presentation that highlighted the company’s commitment to a responsible, accessible, and sustainable construction model.
Construmat 2025, Construmat 2025, held from May 20 to 22 in Barcelona, highlighted sustainability as a key element in transforming the construction sector toward a more efficient and technologically advanced model.
Miguel Ángel Angulo Ruiz, Director of Innovation at Metropolitan House, participated in Construmat 2025 with the presentation titled “Decent, affordable, and sustainable housing is not a goal, it’s an obligation,” presented on May 21 at the Sustainable Building Congress.
Angulo emphasized that affordable housing is not against with quality or sustainability, and that these standards can be achieved if the project is approached from a comprehensive perspective, with rigorous planning, project and execution control, and public-private collaboration.
“It’s not just about building more, but about building better: homes designed for people, respectful of the environment, and accessible to all the people“, he stated.
During his speech, he described the approach that Metropolitan House applies to its developments: industrialization of processes, energy efficiency, innovative materials, and functional design, serving people’s well-being.

This edition reaffirmed industrialization and sustainability as drivers of change in the construction sector. Advances such as modular housing, CO₂-absorbing concrete, smart sensors, and on-site 3D analysis were presented, in addition to discussion forums on sustainability, young talent, and social housing.
